Project 8
Project 8 was dubstep. And it was awesome. If i didnt get off to such a slow start it would have been way better. So, this was started off by making a half time drum beat, a staple of dubstep. My loop was made by having a highhat on every first beat and a kick on only the very fist. I also had a snare on the third. My other drum beat is identical, except it has one more highhat hit. I actually lied, i have two more drum beats. Alright, the other one is identical to the last, except it has one more snare hit/bass kick. The last one has a kick on the first and third, three highhat hits, and two snare. I made a sound in 3xOsc which had a square wave in every oscillator. It has a low delay, lower attack, and medium amount and speed. The pitch is very high. This was the base for all of my sounds, they are just different in pitch. For the "drop", i have two notes in different pitch stretched out, and i made an automation clip that made the pitch drop down. I then put a sound that is a bunch of notes playing at the same time. It sounds kind of like a laser, so i just tossed it after the drop. I brought the pitch back up and put in one of my sounds.
I made a bass to go with it that is identical. I alternated between a few sounds and added my wobble bass automation clip. I made it fast at some parts, and slow at others. Variation. When i had time a put in a synced explosion, but i didnt have time to do much more. I almost forgot, i accidentally added gross beat, and something messed up when i saved it so i couldnt take it off. I didnt think it was much of an issue though, i didnt really sound that bad, so i left it. I switched up my drum beats every once in a while, took them out, etc. I put a volume fade out at the end. I had a lot of fun with this project, i just wish i started better so i had more time. I almost forgot this too: the mood is supposed to be sort of high and happy until the drop, where the pitch gets lower. Enjoi!!!! :D
Project 7
Alright, I've said this before, but its been quite a while sense i have done this, so bear with me please. I am not spelling well right now either haha. Here it goes: i accidentally made another spacey-techno one, i dont know how, but i did. It's made to be pretty slow. Because it is the sytrus project, of course i made some sounds in it. My first sound in sytrus was a sine waveform and the filter type is SVF.the waveshaper mix know if very high. the volume envelope goes from low, to high, to medium, to low. under FX, i have the chorus order at 9. i have no delay in unit 1 or the reverb unit. On my second sytrus sound, i have a sawtooth wave shape. For the volume envelope, i have it starting very high, curving to the middle, and getting very low very fast. In FX, i have the chorus order set on one and i do have delay in delay unit 1 but not the reverb unit. I then made a chord progression with the first one, which was B4-A4-E4, E5-A#4-F4, F5-A#4-F4. The chord progression with the second sound is too much work to type out, hahaha. I made another one that i also dont want to type out. The drum loops in this song are primarily cymbal hits. The first loop is just two cymbal hits and one kick. The second one is cymbal hits on every one beat, except the end where it's on the three and four. I arranged all the sounds and had the master volume fade out at the end. Like i sort of said before, this is meant to be kind of spacey and light feeling. Enjoi.

Project 6
It's been a while since I made this, so im going to try my best. Soooooooooo i started by making some Poizone sounds and added some different ADSR modifications to them. My first one is as described: it has a very low noise level, low reso, i have the arpeggiator at an up/down with a range of 3 at 1/16 tempo, low lowcut/depth, and a high smooth in the transgate. We'll call this sound "1". Next i made another sound, which we'll call sound "2". It is a replica of sound "1" with a different tempo, 1/32. I next made a drum beat with a kick on every first note and highhat on every third. i added a snare hit and a clap, too. after that, i played the drum loop with sound 1. at a certain point i cut out the drums and added a cutoff envelope. It slowly dips down and slowly rises. when it started to rise, i added a drum loop with just a kick on every 1. i then added sound 2 and the original drum beat. I used an attack envelope on this part and faded out the master volume. It is made to be sort of techno-spacey. I dont really know how to describe it.

Project 5
This was the most fun project yet in my opinion. For this project, i wanted a low-pitched, deep sound. It wasn't meant to be too fast, and I wanted to keep it slow, which I did. I started by opening Poizone and making a sound that would be in the background for the whole song. For this sound, I didn't really mess with oscillator A, but in oscillator B, I turned the pitch all the way down. I also turned the transgate all the way up. I next added a very simple drum beat to open the song. It was just bass kicks on every other first beat. I added another drum loop after that which kept the same kick pattern, but added four notes of both high-hat and snare. Then came my second sound, which is identical to the first, but i made a pattern out of it, and changed the pitch of some of the notes. After that, i made a third drum beat, which was just a kick-snare pattern. I made an ADDITIONAL beat after that, with the kick on every first and a lot of high-hat and snare again. Following this, i made a third sound, which had the balance oscillator 3/4's of the way up, and the pitch all the way down. I made the chorus and the transgate very saturated. This sound was merely a transition. I created a final sound, which had very low pitch, high balance, high cutoff, and an up/down pattern at 1/16 beats. I made the volume fade out at the end. That's all of it. I hope you enjoy it.

Project 4
Starting off, I made a guitar loop using slayer and the distant rhythm sound. I used the 3 chop tool. After that, i created a drum beat. consisting of high-hat on every other one and three, and kick and snare on every other one. I also added another high-hat sound to it. After that,i put the cut off frequency on the slayer part. Lastly, i added BP String with 3X osc, and made a very simple pattern with that. I added an automation clip to this part, too.I wanted this to be subtle, but noticeable. I almost forgot, i added a drum fill in the middle, with a lot of kick/snare with a little high-hat. I combined it with my other drum pattern for a fill i liked. Enjoy!

Project 3
For project 3, I started by adding the velocity sound. After adding the sound, I used the cut tool in the SimSynth. I used the "Dreams" chop pattern. I next added the drum beat. The bass is on the 1 and the snare is on every other first note. Lastly, I added some high-hat hits to the beat. After doing this, I played around with the cut tool and found a pattern with it that I liked. I also added a small drum fill, which was a simple kick-snare pattern. To finish the project, I faded out the master volume. Enjoy!

Project 2
I started out by making the guitar rhythm. I used the "slayer" guitar tool, and used the 'metal' sound. After experimenting with different note, I used the chop tool. I had to try out a few different patterns until I got the one I wanted. After that, I added the bass-line, which was the same as the guitar but a lower key. I used Boobass for this. Finally, I made the drum beat. I made the drums last because I wanted them to match the guitar, not vice-versa. For the drums, I used a lot of the crash cymbal and snare. After doing this, I transposed the guitar and bass up a few notes for the second half of the loop. It's pretty short, but I like the way it turned out, and I like the ending. Enjoy!
